September 2005 Road Trip to Columbia, MO We decided to take our show on the road in September and traveled to Columbia, MO, to visit a miniature shop owned by members of the Miniature Museum of Greater St. Louis. We first had lunch at the Gibson Girls Cafe and visited an antique mall right next door (how convenient). We also stopped to see a dollhouse on exhibit at the local historical association museum before our final destination at the Treasure Hill Miniature shop.
Time for Lunch!
Antiquing!
I want THAT! Everyone checks out the dollhouse at the museum.
Onward to the dollhouse shop!
A Quilt Shop on exhibit at the miiature shop. Fay bought a Red Hat figurine at the shop and when she got home, made this little Red Hat Bag using it and adding another red hat and some desserts. The table, lady, and shopping bags are resin and sit on the black and white resin floor. Fay used paper flooring to tie in with the resin floor and added another Red Hat, a table with desserts. She couldn't find an official Red Hat bag, but used stickers on a red bag.
